Easiest way? Hold down the PS button for about 10 seconds. The controller just shuts off. Magic!

Alternatively, you can go to the 'Turn Off Controller' option in the PS menu. Press the PS button, navigate to 'Controller Settings,' and select 'Turn Off Controller.' Boom, done.

I usually just let mine idle for 10 minutes, and it turns off by itself. Patience is a virtue, my friend!
