To turn off sound on Facebook, go to 'Settings & Privacy', click 'Settings', then go to 'Media' and toggle 'Sounds in the app' to off. Easy peasy!
On the Facebook app? Head to 'Settings', find 'Media' and switch off the sound options. Silence is golden, my friend!
As a frequent Facebook scroller, I found going to settings, then 'Videos and Photos', and turning off 'Sounds in the News Feed' did the trick!
