Just unblock them through the Friends list. It’s intuitive once you get there!

I had to do this last week! Go to Settings, then Privacy Settings, enter your password, and unblock from the Blocked Players list.

To unblock someone, go to Settings > Account Management > Privacy Settings > Enter your password > Blocked Players. Find their name, select it, and choose Unblock.
