My experience: I followed a forum guide, edited the config.blk, set maxfps to 144, and boom鈥攕mooth gaming at 144Hz!

Just disable VSync. Done.

Try opening the launcher, going to the settings, and unchecking the 'VSync' option. This should uncap your frames.
