Alright, to unequip outfits in The Outer Worlds, just open your inventory, navigate to the character panel, and click on the currently equipped outfit to remove it. Easy peasy!

I had the same problem! Open inventory, go to the character tab, and click on the outfit you're wearing. Done and done.

Just go to your inventory menu, select the character tab, and click the outfit slot; it'll unequip in a jiffy!
