To uninstall a game on Steam Deck's desktop mode, first hit the power button on your Steam Deck and select 'Switch to Desktop'. Once you're in desktop mode, navigate to the Steam client. Here, you'll go to your Library, right-click the game you want to uninstall, and click 'Manage' > 'Uninstall'. Confirm the uninstallation, and voilà, game be gone!

Pro tip: If you can't uninstall from the Steam client for some reason, you can always navigate to the game's folder in the File Manager and delete it manually. But remember, this doesn't remove the game from your Steam library; it just deletes the local files.

Honestly? Just find the game in your library, right-click, and hit uninstall. It's as simple as pie.

Just boot into desktop mode and use the Steam client to uninstall like you would on any PC. It's super straightforward – no arcane knowledge required!

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
