I had to unlink mine last month, and it's not as straightforward as you'd hope. Like others said, it's all on EA's end. Had to dig around the Account Settings on EA's website, but once I found the 'Connections' tab, it was smooth sailing. Just a heads up - your game progress or access might get affected, so check on that before you sever the tie.

To unlink your EA account from Steam, you gotta go through EA's side of things. Log into your EA Account and hit up the 'Connections' section in the settings. From there, you should see Steam listed among the connected platforms. Just click 'Disconnect' next to Steam, and you're golden. Remember, this might mean you lose access to some games or content that needed that link, so think it over before you hit that button.

Short and sweet: You can't directly unlink it from Steam. Do it through your EA account settings. Simple as that.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
