The easiest way I found to unlock characters is just by playing Smash mode repeatedly. Keep playing and they’ll start popping up. It's like magic, but punchier.

Just play the game a lot! Characters usually unlock after a certain number of matches. I think you need to play around 10 matches to get your first unlock.

Speedrun Classic Mode a few times and you’ll unlock a bunch! Trust me, it’s worth it.

Hooo boy, you’ll need to grind some matches or clear specific challenges. Practice makes perfect!

Unlocking characters in Super Smash Bros for 3DS is mostly about playing the game! You can unlock characters by completing Classic Mode, clearing certain challenges, and playing Smash mode matches. For example, after completing Classic mode, you might find Ness! Time to get smashing!
