How to unlock characters on Super Smash Bros Brawl Wii
You can unlock characters in Super Smash Bros Brawl on the Wii by playing through the Subspace Emissary adventure mode, or just by completing a certain number of versus matches. Each character has different requirements, like playing 10 matches for Ness or finishing Classic Mode with 10 different characters for Sonic!

Just play the Subspace Emissary. You'll unlock almost everyone that way. Trust me, it's fun and full of surprises!
Most characters can be unlocked in versus matches. For example, 10 matches gets you Ness, 20 for Marth, and so on. Happy smashing!
Forget complicated methods, just spam some versus matches! You'll get most of the characters just by playing around 450 matches. Easy peasy.
