Just beat Adventure Mode with all starter characters, and Dr. Mario will pop out to join the fight.
Fun fact: you can unlock Falco by completing the 100-man Melee challenge! Enjoy watching those polygons fly!
I unlocked everyone by just grinding through VS mode matches鈥攊t's time-consuming, but less hassle than some other methods.
To unlock all characters, you need to complete certain tasks: Beat Classic Mode with 10 different characters for Marth, then beat Classic or Adventure Mode with Marth on any difficulty to unlock Roy. Defeat 700 VS mode matches for Game & Watch, and beat Classic Mode with Jigglypuff, Dr. Mario, and Pichu to unlock them (by beating them). There are many other methods, but those are some highlights!
