Tried unlocking FPS and my game has never been smoother. Disabling V-Sync and setting FPS to unlimited does the trick. Make sure your PC can handle it though; otherwise, you might end up with some stuttering.
Honestly, just set it to unlimited and forget about it. Let your PC flex its muscles!
