To unlock Golden Frieza in Dragon Ball FighterZ, just press and hold Light Attack (Square on PS4), Medium Attack (Triangle), and Heavy Attack (Circle) when selecting Frieza on the character select screen. Easy peasy!

You don't unlock him. Just hold down three buttons when choosing Frieza.
