To unlock the level select in Sonic Mania, enter the 'No Save' file and choose a character. When you're on the title screen, select 'Mania Mode' and then press and hold the B button (on Switch) or equivalent, while selecting a save file. You'll hear a ring sound if done correctly, and now you have access to level select. Happy speedrunning!
