To unlock locks in Hogwarts Legacy, you'll need to learn the Alohomora spell. This spell becomes available early in the game after completing a specific quest called 'The Caretaker's Lunar Lament'. Once you've got Alohomora, approach a locked door, and you'll enter a lockpicking mini-game. Success depends on aligning the tumblers correctly, so take your time and feel for the vibrations if you're using a controller!

For those tricky locks, sometimes it's not just about having Alohomora but also upgrading it! As you progress, the Alohomora spell can be enhanced to open more complex locks. Keep an eye out for side quests and challenges that can help you upgrade your skills.

Honestly, you don't need to unlock every lock you come across. Sure, Alohomora can get you into some neat places, but the real magic of Hogwarts Legacy is in exploring and soaking up the atmosphere. Not every locked door hides treasure, sometimes a closed door is just a closed door.

Just use Alohomora, duh. It鈥檚 like lockpicking but with more magic and less breaking the law.
