All you gotta do is finish the 1P Game with all the starting characters. Luigi will then invite you for a showdown鈥攁ccept and win!
Honestly, just play 1P Game with each starting character, then beat Luigi in the fight that follows.
Finishing the 1P Game with everyone from the starting roster will make Luigi appear鈥攖hen just show him who's boss!
Simply complete 1P Game with the original 8 characters, then fight and beat Luigi when he appears. Easy-peasy!
