How to unlock more characters in Super Smash Bros Ultimate

Just keep playing! You unlock new characters over time by just enjoying the game.
If you're impatient like me, you can restart the game after each new challenger fight. Play a quick match, then reboot the game to prompt another challenger to appear. Rinse and repeat!
Play through different modes like Smash battles, Classic Mode, and World of Light. Each mode will gradually add new challengers!
To unlock characters faster, you can make the game think enough time has passed by restarting it after each battle. Works like a charm!
