Fastest way? Use Marth in Classic Mode, you'll get Roy as one of the unlocks pretty quickly!
You can unlock Roy in Super Smash Bros Ultimate by playing through the World of Light adventure mode or by challenging him through the Classic Mode routes. Keep smashing those battles, and he'll show up eventually!
Just keep playing Vs. matches! After a certain number of rounds, Roy will challenge you. Beat him, and he's yours!
