Sorry to break it to you, but Shao Kahn isn't unlockable as a playable character in MK9 on PS3. He's only there to beat you up in boss fights!

You can't actually unlock Shao Kahn as a playable character in Mortal Kombat 9 on PS3 through normal gameplay. However, you can fight against him as a boss in the Story Mode and some of the challenge towers.

Nope, you can鈥檛 play as Shao Kahn in MK9 on PS3. Boss characters stay bosses.
