Actually, Spyro is a great character but he ain't in the original CTR - only the Nitro-Fueled version has him!

In Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, you can unlock Spyro by winning the "Spyro and Friends Grand Prix"! Check the Grand Prix events to catch it when it rolls around.
To unlock Spyro in CTR: Nitro-Fueled, you'd need to participate, and do well, in the "Spyro and Friends Grand Prix." It was a limited-time event though, so if you missed it, you might have to check for any updates or re-releases from the developers.
Catch the "Spyro and Friends Grand Prix" in Nitro-Fueled to unlock our favorite purple dragon. It's not available all the time though.
