Honestly, just keep playing the game, especially Classic Mode, and Villager will come knockin’ eventually.
I got Villager by playing a bunch of Versus matches! After about 10 battles, I had the chance to challenge and unlock him. Good luck!
In Super Smash Bros Ultimate, you can unlock Villager by beating him in a challenger fight after you’ve completed 3 Classic Mode runs. Keep playing, and he’ll pop up!
