Unsummoning in Terraria is pretty simple! If you've got a minion or pet you wanna say goodbye to (just for a bit, we hope), just right-click their buff icon near your health bar. This sends them back to wherever they came from, easy peasy. Works like a charm every time!

no fancy tricks needed, just right-click the buff icon. boom, they're gone!

Actually, I find it simpler to just summon something else in its place. Kinda like telling your current minion, 'It's not you, it's me,' but with magic.
