Easy peasy! Download the update file from the PlayStation website to your computer, create a folder named 'PS3' on your USB, and inside that, a folder named 'UPDATE'. Place the update file there and plug the USB into your PS3. Go to Settings > System Update > Update via Storage Media, and voila!

First-hand tip: Make sure your USB drive is formatted to FAT32. Otherwise, your PS3 won't recognize it. Had that issue once, not fun!

Bro, just use the internet update option unless you REALLY need to use the USB.

Just go to the PlayStation website, download the update, stick it on a USB in a 'PS3/UPDATE' folder, and update from the system settings!

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
