How to Update a PS3 with a USB
AssemblingDelta路7 months agoEasy peasy! Download the update file from the PlayStation website to your computer, create a folder named 'PS3' on your USB, and inside that, a folder named 'UPDATE'. Place the update file there and plug the USB into your PS3. Go to Settings > System Update > Update via Storage Media, and voila!

First-hand tip: Make sure your USB drive is formatted to FAT32. Otherwise, your PS3 won't recognize it. Had that issue once, not fun!
Bro, just use the internet update option unless you REALLY need to use the USB.
Just go to the PlayStation website, download the update, stick it on a USB in a 'PS3/UPDATE' folder, and update from the system settings!
