You can update your PS3 without internet by downloading the update file on a PC, transferring it to a USB stick, and then plugging the USB into the PS3. Follow the on-screen instructions to install it. Easy peasy!

I鈥檝e done this before! Just download the update from the PlayStation website onto a USB drive. Make sure you put it in the right folder: "/PS3/UPDATE/". Then, stick the USB in your PS3 and follow the prompts. Worked like a charm for me!
