Alright, listen up! Just go to 'Settings', then scroll down to 'System Software Update', and hit that 'Update' button. Boom, done.
If your internet is acting up, you can also download the update file to a USB from PlayStation's official site, then install it via 'Settings' > 'System Software Update'.
Or you could just let it do its thing automatically, like I do. Set 'Automatic Downloads' to 'On' in the 'Power Saving Settings' menu.
You don't need any fancy tricks. Just head to 'Settings', find 'System Software Update', and follow the prompts. Takes a few minutes.
