Try borrowing a friend's disc that has a newer version of Minecraft. Sometimes game discs contain updates, and your Xbox 360 will install it when you insert the disc!

You could always try finding someone you know who has Xbox Live and asking if you can update it at their place. Helps to have gamer friends for stuff like this!

You can update Xbox 360 Minecraft without Xbox Live by using a USB stick! Download the update file from a trusted site on your computer, transfer it to a USB drive, and then plug it into your Xbox 360. Your console should recognize the update and apply it.
