Upgrading your PS3 hard drive is pretty straightforward! First, back up your data to an external drive. Next, remove the hard drive cover, unscrew the old hard drive, and swap it with a new 2.5-inch SATA drive. Finally, restore your data from the backup!

I've done this myself! Backup your data, remove the old hard drive through the slot on the side, insert the new 2.5-inch SATA drive, and restore your data. Easy-peasy!
