Upgrading your lockpick skill in Fallout 4 is all about leveling up your Perception stat and unlocking the Locksmith perk. As soon as you have enough points in Perception, head over to your perk chart and grab that Locksmith perk! Each level of the perk allows you to pick more difficult locks, but remember, you gotta be at certain levels to unlock higher tiers of the perk: level 1 for the basic, level 7 for the expert locks, level 18 for master locks, and level 41 for those pesky unbreakable bobby pins.

Just get the Locksmith perk, guys. No Perception, no party.

And FYI, you can't upgrade lockpicking through any other means, so save those perk points.

Honestly, just keep your eyes peeled for magazines named "Tumblers Today." They're hidden across the wasteland and give you a sweet, sweet bonus to lockpicking. With enough of these, you'll feel like the master of unlocking even without touching that perk!

If you're a Fallout 4 player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
