IMO, the magic storage system in Terraria is overrated. Just organize chest rooms; it's easier and doesn't require hoarding rare materials.
Honestly, don't overthink it. Just keep upgrading as your resources allow. But make sure you have enough materials for those higher-tier upgrades, or you'll be stuck with a pretty but useless magic storage unit!
