You can't actually upgrade a pickaxe in LEGO Fortnite because there's no official LEGO Fortnite game! But if you're thinking about the regular Fortnite game, you can get new pickaxes by purchasing them with V-Bucks in the Item Shop.

As of now, there's no LEGO version of Fortnite, so upgrading a pickaxe isn't possible. However, in Fortnite, you can acquire different pickaxes through seasonal Battle Passes or the Item Shop.
LEGO Fortnite doesn't exist, so no pickaxe upgrades there. In Fortnite, buy or earn new pickaxes through V-Bucks.
Honestly, there's no LEGO Fortnite game. In the real Fortnite game, just snag new pickaxes with V-Bucks from the Item Shop or Battle Pass.
