I upgraded mine and it's pretty straightforward. You just need to carefully follow the official Sony guide to avoid any issues, especially with the delicate components inside.

It's way easier than you'd think. Just pop off the cover, insert the M.2 SSD, and screw it in. Make sure it鈥檚 a compatible one!

First, make sure you have a compatible NVMe M.2 SSD. Then, power off your PS5, remove the cover, and insert the SSD into the expansion slot. Don鈥檛 forget to screw it in and replace the cover before powering back up!

Just buy a larger external SSD and hook it up. No need to mess with the internals.

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
