Just follow these steps: 1. Backup your data 2. Turn off and unplug your PS4 3. Remove the hard drive cover 4. Remove screws and old HDD 5. Slide in the new HDD 6. Reassemble and reinstall system software.
I upgraded my PS4 hard drive last month. Backed up my data, swapped in a 1TB SSD, and the performance improvement was insane!
Do yourself a favor and go for an SSD upgrade, it's worth it for the speed boost!
