Upgrading your yoyo in Terraria isn't about 'upgrading' a single yoyo, but rather obtaining better ones as you progress. Start by crafting or finding a basic yoyo like the Wooden Yoyo. As you defeat bosses and explore biomes, you'll discover materials to craft stronger yoyos. For example, after beating the Eye of Cthulhu, you might get enough Demonite Ore to make the Malaise. Keep an eye on the Guide's crafting help and aim for yoyos like the Amarok or the Terrarian, which you get from the Moon Lord. Each has its perks, so collect 'em all and see which one suits your style!

Honestly, yoyo's power isn't in 'upgrading' but swapping. Get the Terrarian after beating the Moon Lord. It's basically the 'endgame' of yoyos.

Gotta catch 'em all, yoyo edition! Seriously though, you don't upgrade yoyos by modifying them but by finding stronger versions throughout the game. Keep defeating bosses and exploring. More powerful yoyos are out there waiting for you!

If you're a Terraria player, you need to download the Playbite app!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:
