I use a Bluetooth headset with PS4 by connecting it via Bluetooth settings in 'Devices.' A bit more finicky but still works.

Pro tip: Adjust your audio settings in the PS4 menu to route chat and game audio to your headset. Go to Settings > Devices > Audio Devices.
