You'll need a third-party adapter like the Cronus Zen or Brook Wingman XB to use a PS5 controller on an Xbox. These adapters connect the PS5 controller to the Xbox console and map the controls accordingly.

I've done this with a Brook Wingman XB adapter. Worked pretty well for me, but some games had minor issues with button mapping.

Honestly, it's more hassle than it's worth. Better off just using the Xbox controller, which is great on its own.
