Hey there! Just equip the torch from your inventory, then press and hold the L1 button to bring up the radial menu. Select the torch from there, and you're all set to light up the dark!

In my experience, you just need to open the inventory, equip the torch to your character's hand, and then tap R2 to ignite it. Happy adventuring!
