First, make sure your aircraft is equipped with air-to-ground missiles. During the game, press L1 to switch to the missiles, then use R2 to fire. Aim carefully using the targeting reticle!
All you need is L1 to select your missiles and R2 to unleash destruction. Just get that target in your sights!
In my experience, pressing L1 to select your air-to-ground missiles while using the R2 button to fire works wonders. Just line up your shot and let it fly!
