To use an amiibo in Animal Crossing, first make sure you're in a game that supports them, like New Horizons. Then, go to the Nook Stop terminal in the Resident Services building. There's an option to 'Invite amiibo Camper.' That's where you scan your amiibo figure or card. After scanning, the character will visit your campsite, and you can interact with them! Sometimes, you might need to scan an amiibo multiple times or complete certain tasks for them to move in.

Honestly, using amiibo feels a bit overhyped. You get visitors, sure, but the magic wears off quick. Plus, collecting those cards and figures can burn a hole in your wallet.

Just tap the amiibo to your Switch's right Joy-Con and watch your favorite character pop up in your game. It's like magic, but cooler cause it's Animal Crossing.

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
