How to Use an External Hard Drive for PS4
NickelingAlan路7 months agoEasy peasy! Plug in your external hard drive into one of the PS4's USB ports. Go to Settings > Devices > USB Storage Devices, select your hard drive, and choose 'Format as Extended Storage'. Done and dusted!

Just plug it into the USB port, then go to Settings > Devices > USB Storage Devices, select the external drive, and hit 'Format as Extended Storage'. You're good to go!
If it doesn't work right away, make sure your hard drive is USB 3.0 and at least 250GB. Anything else won't cut it.
I've been using an external hard drive on my PS4 for ages. Just plug it in, format it in the settings, and then you can move games there to save space on your internal drive. Super convenient!
