Using Animal Crossing amiibo cards is super easy and fun! Just boot up your Animal Crossing game on your Nintendo Switch, head over to the Nook Stop terminal in the Resident Services building, and select the amiibo option. Pop your amiibo card onto the NFC touchpoint on your right Joy-Con controller or the middle of your Pro Controller, and voilà! Your chosen amiibo character will appear in your game. You can invite them to your campsite, photograph them, and more depending on the game's features!

Got to admit, using those amiibo cards felt like magic the first time. Brought Fauna into my village and it was the best decision ever. Easy to use and adds a whole new layer to your game!

Hot take: Amiibo cards are cool but not essential. You can enjoy Animal Crossing just fine without them. Don't feel pressured to collect 'em all unless you really want to.

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
