It's super easy! Just open your Steam client and look for the '+ Add a Game' button at the bottom left corner. Click on it and then select 'Activate a Product on Steam.' Follow the instructions, enter your CD key when prompted, and voilà! Your game will start downloading and will be added to your library.

If you're trying to add your CD key to Steam and it's not working, make sure you're entering it correctly. Sometimes, zeros look like O's and vice versa. Double-check that first. If it still doesn't work, it might not be a Steam-compatible key, or it's already been used.

Honest opinion here, but using CD keys feels like a blast from the past with all the digital downloads now. Just make sure your key is for Steam and not another platform. Been there, done that mistake!

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
