How to use a code in Steam
Using a code on Steam is pretty straightforward. Just open your Steam client and click on ‘Games’ at the top of the window. Then select ‘Activate a Product on Steam…’ from the dropdown. Follow the prompts on the next window, enter your code when it asks, and voila, you've redeemed your code! Enjoy your game or whatever the code brings you.

Honestly, just go to the bottom left of your Steam client, click 'Add a Game', and hit 'Activate a Product on Steam'. Can't miss it.
I tried redeeming a code once and typed it wrong three times. Turns out, Steam locks you out for a bit if you mess up too much. So, pro tip: double-check your code!
