First, make sure your external hard drive is USB 3.0 or later. Then, just plug it into one of the USB ports on your PS5. Go to 'Settings' > 'Storage' > 'USB Extended Storage' and select 'Format as USB Extended Storage.' That's it, you're ready to expand your game library!

You can use an external hard drive on PS5 by plugging it into a USB port and formatting it in the settings menu. Just make sure it's USB 3.0 or later.

Just plug that bad boy into a USB port, head to Settings, and get it formatted under Storage options. Easy-peasy!

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
