Just connect the hard drive to the Xbox Series S via USB. Follow the on-screen prompts to format, and then start saving your games and apps there. I use mine for all my Game Pass games. Works like a charm!

I’ve got an external hard drive hooked up to my Series S for months now. Just plug it in, let the system format it, and you’ll be able to store and play all your games from there. Takes a minute tops.
