First Strike? Just think of it as having the fastest draw in the West. Your creature gets to hit first, and if it's strong enough, the other guy won't even get a chance to swing back. Simple as that.

Using First Strike in MTG Arena is all about timing and strategy. Basically, creatures with First Strike deal their combat damage before creatures without it during the combat damage step. So, if your creature has First Strike and enough power to knock out the opponent's creature, it can potentially avoid taking damage in return. Make sure to play creatures with First Strike at the right time to defend against attackers or to safely attack into an opponent's board. Also, combining First Strike with other abilities like Deathtouch can make for some powerful defensive plays!

First Strike is overrated, just go for direct damage spells instead. Why bother with combat tricks when you can just zap your opponent's creatures directly?

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
