How to Use a Keg in Terraria
To use a keg in Terraria, first, you gotta craft it using wood at a Sawmill. Once you've got your keg, place it anywhere in your house or base. Then, just walk up to it and press the use key (usually 'E' on PC). Boom! You're brewing! You can make Ale with Mugs and Bottled Water. Remember, Ale boosts your melee abilities but lowers your defense. Cheers!

Honestly, kegs are more decoration than anything. I mean, yes, you can brew Ale, but is that slight melee buff worth the defense hit? Debateable.
