Necropotence is a beastly card for any black deck! The key is knowing when to pay the life for cards. It's all about balance. Early game, use it to fill your hand with answers and threats. But remember, you skip your draw step, so don't overdo it or you'll find yourself too low on life to make a comeback. Also, consider your deck's overall strategy; if you're playing a control or combo deck, you can afford to be more aggressive in using it to dig for key pieces. Just keep an eye on your life total!

I've been running Necropotence in my zombie deck for years. Best advice? Use it sparingly. It's tempting to pay a ton of life and fill your hand, but sometimes the best play is just waiting and using it to ensure you get exactly what you need, when you need it. Plus, it scares the heck out of your opponents when they see it on the board.

Just slap it on the table and pay all your life, simple! (Please don't actually do this.)

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
