I've been running Necropotence in my zombie deck for years. Best advice? Use it sparingly. It's tempting to pay a ton of life and fill your hand, but sometimes the best play is just waiting and using it to ensure you get exactly what you need, when you need it. Plus, it scares the heck out of your opponents when they see it on the board.
Just slap it on the table and pay all your life, simple! (Please don't actually do this.)
