Just click it, dude. It's not rocket science. But remember, some potions have cool downs, so spamming 'H' (the default hotkey for health potions on PC) won't make you immortal.
Using potions in Terraria is super easy! All you gotta do is open your inventory, select the potion you wanna use, and then either right-click it if you're on PC or tap it if you're on a mobile device or console. Make sure you're not in the middle of a fight though; you don't wanna get clobbered by a zombie while you're browsing your backpack!
