To master Ryu in SSF4, focus on his Hadouken (Quarter Circle Forward + Punch) for zoning, and Shoryuken (Forward, Down, Down-Forward + Punch) for anti-air. Also, practice linking his crouching medium kick into Hadouken for great pressure!
