It's pretty simple, really! Just approach the transfer container in Starfield and press the interact button (usually 'E' on PC or 'A' on Xbox). You'll get a menu to move items between containers.
First, locate a transfer container on your ship or base. Interact with it to open the transfer menu, then select and transfer your items. Easy as pie!
