To play as Super Sonic in debug mode in Sonic Mania, enter the level select code on the title screen. Then, in the level select menu, press the debug mode button in any stage and enough rings to become Super Sonic (at least 50) before transforming!

Hey, just remember, enter debug mode and collect those 50 rings first, then hit that transform button while playing Sonic.

My strategy: after enabling debug mode, I quickly select the level and transform once I've got my golden 50 rings. It works like a charm!
